Who We Are

Hey! We are two students from the Academies@Englewood/Dwight Morrow High School. We created the Tree Huggers program so that our community can become more conscious about the climate crisis. In order to effectively convey our message, we host programs at libraries and schools so that children can learn more about the earth and become aware of transformative solutions to combat climate change.

We are also fundraising money for various causes. Currently, we are raising money to donate to the World Wildlife Fund in Australia to help with the wildfire crisis. If you would like to donate, please click the Donate Now nk or visit the Donate page under the Get Involved tab.

Most of my childhood was spent in my backyard. It was through these experiences that my interest in the environment grew. This passion was what led me to create this program with my friend. I hope to give kids the same exposure I had when I was young, and guide them into the right direction!

Hi, i'm Anne! Like my friend Sakthi, the environment has always captivated me. Now that I am older and more involved in society, I wanted to take it upon myself and give back to the community. My primary goal is to leave a lasting impression on the younger generation so that they understand the significance of protecting our Earth!
